Introduction

Boot Lake Camp is the ideal site for your next youth-group camping experience. We offer the perfect setting for a Scout troop, church youth group, or other youth-oriented organizations. A true wilderness experience awaits! 

Our camp is located on the western end of the secluded 80-acre Boot Lake in the Savannah State Forest of northern Minnesota. The camp property consists of nineteen wooded acres, easily accessed via County Road 65 (a well-mainted gravel road). A bunkhous offers lodging for up to twenty-one people. A separate building contains a full kitchen, capable of preparing food for a large group. The screened-in mess hall seats 30+, and is the perfect setting for large meals, group meetings or classroom instruction. 

"The Point” is our lakeside tent camping area. It is a 1/4-mile hike from the cabin, and has space for as many as 10 tents. There are multiple fire-rings, a latrine, and an outstanding view of the lake. This remote site can also be accessed via canoes or rowboats.

The waterfront area includes a fishing dock and a swimming area. Fishing is excellent, with plentiful largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish. Several canoes and rowboats are available from the boathouse. There are sufficient life jackets to supply all boats. 

Drinking water is provided via a modern well. There is running water in the kitchen building and shower rower. A latrine is located on the western end of the property. There is no indoor plumbing at Boot Lake camp.

It is our goal to make the camping experience affordable for youth groups. The Boot Lake Camp rental rate is $15.00/night per camper, with a minimum reservation fee of $50. Please see the Reservation page for detailed rate information.  Boot Lake Camp is focused on youth group camping.
